Le Bal des Ardents is an exploration of forgotten archives, outsider art and the history of niche creative scenes.

Named after an infamous soirée held on January 28th, 1393 – Le Bal des Ardents walks the razor’s edge between the waking world and the underground subconscious. Fueled by the fire of forgotten movements, it seeks to illuminate the powerful art and hidden scenes at times overlooked by the popular zeitgeist. In a media landscape dictated by the ‘here & now’, we instead meditate on the ‘was & then’.
